David King

David is an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator whose advocacy lives at the intersection of the arts, education, and social justice. He is committed to youth development and cultural equity guided by anti-racist principles. He was born and raised on the ancestral lands of the Munsee Lenape, Canarsie, and Matinecock peoples known as Queens and Brooklyn, New York.
He sits on the Board of Directors at the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable, serving as Advocacy Committee Co-Chair. He is the Program Director of School & Community Partnerships at Community-Word Project. He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Creating New Futures, and Artists Co-creating Real Equity (ACRE).
He is an Innovative Cultural Advocacy Fellow with The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI).
