Liberatory Practices for Entering and Building Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This 3-hour workshop draws on Urban Bush Women’s value-centered approach for work in communities, to expand a movement of practitioners that use decolonized approaches and methodologies, moving towards self determined, liberatory engagement.

Participants should expect:
-Exploration of UBW Core Values
-Experiential learning that includes dialogue and movement activities
-Encouragement to think beyond the immediacy of tools gained to embrace understandings that with implementation and continued practice, will enhance the impact of their work, to ensure judgments don’t inadvertently privilege hierarchical values and reject our common humanity.

PLEASE NOTE: This session has limited spaces available.

This session is 3 hours in length.

This session WILL NOT be recorded.

This Face to Face 2021 session will include live ASL interpretation and Zoom Closed Captioning.
