Keynote Address & Conference Opening: Seeding Resilience in Arts Education
How do popularized notions and myths about resilience prevent us from centering joy, love, and futurity in arts education? Join Kimberly Drew and Suhaly Bautista-Carolina for a conversation about the importance of challenging and moving beyond trauma-informed frameworks. What strategies can we invoke to ensure that our work arises, and is sustained, from a starting point centered on wholeness?

Prior to the keynote conversation, Urban Word NYC's Sergio Jimenez and Nathaniel Swanson will open the conference with a spoken word performance.

This Face to Face 2021 session will include live ASL interpretation and Zoom Closed Captioning.
