Executive Director
Katie Palmer is a Teaching Artist, Arts Administrator, Theater Maker and Arts Advocate. A native of San Diego, CA, she is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, Minor in Business Administration. She joined Together in Dance in 2014 as a Teaching Artist and was selected to succeed Karen Curlee and Roslyn Biskin as the Executive Director of Together in Dance in 2020.

Prior to this position, Katie worked as a Teaching Artist specializing in Theater, Dance and Musical Theater throughout New York City and California with companies such as New York Theatre Workshop, Disney Theatrical Group, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and La Jolla Playhouse. She is the co-Artistic Director of Theater in Asylum, creating and producing original theater pieces for 10 years. Highlights include choreographing ¡Olé! at the Prague Fringe Festival and directing and co-writing the musical The Brontës. Katie is also Communications Director of The League of Independent Theater, an advocacy group for the makers of Independent Theater in New York City.
